Before you schedule your first session with me, I offer a brief, complimentary phone consultation.  Let’s talk and see if working together feels like a good fit. If it does, that’s great! If not, that’s fine, too. Please share honestly so I can help you find a therapist who best meets your needs.

Insurance & Fees:


Dove Counseling accept several out-of-network plans including SAG/AFTRA, Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO, and Wellfleet/Cigna. I will process your claims and be paid directly from the insurance carrier. You will be responsible for the co-insurance fee. I also offer a sliding scale fee schedule for those that work in the arts. Payment can be made by cash, check, or Paypal.


If you have another insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network coverage through your plan and your therapy may be covered in part or in full by your insurance plan. Be sure to check your coverage carefully. Here are some good questions for when you speak with your insurance company


  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible? How much is it and how much has been met?

  • What percentage of the therapy fee is covered?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?


With plans other than those listed above, I will provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement and you will pay me directly. If you do not have out of network benefits, we will discuss a fee that works for both of us.   

Cancellation Policy:

Clients are responsible for their regularly scheduled, standing appointments and will be charged for the time reserved if you do not provide 24 hour notice of cancellation, except in the case of illness or emergency. If a cancellation is necessary, I will try to be as flexible as possible with rescheduling.
